The Department of Innovation, Business and Rural Development offers three programs to support business development in the craft, gift and apparel sector: the Craft Industry Development Program, the Crafts of Character Branding Program and the Wholesale Marketing Program.
In order to be eligible for these programs, products must fit the department’s Definitions of Craft, Gift or Apparel ![]()
Also, producers are required to submit product samples for Product Review prior to making application to any of our programs. For more information please visit the Product Review page
The Craft Industry Development Program provides financial support for projects in the areas of professional skills development, design and product development, market development, cooperative projects and sector development initiatives.
The Crafts of Character Branding Program promotes high-quality, distinctive Newfoundland and Labrador craft, gift and apparel products which demonstrate excellence in creativity and craftsmanship.
The Wholesale Marketing Program assists craft, gift and apparel producers with developing wholesale markets for their products.
