Business Retention and Expansion

Business Retention and Expansion (BR&E) is an internationally-recognized economic development program by which existing local businesses are visited and interviewed to identify some of the issues limiting retention and expansion.

If you are a business owner or manager, you can request to have one of our development officers visit your organization to conduct a confidential diagnostic interview. During a second follow-up meeting based on an analysis of your responses, the officer will discuss with you options that may help the retention and expansion of your firm.

If you are a not-for-profit economic development organization, you can request information on BR&E trends and issues in your region. This may help in the development of your strategic plans and proposals for development initiatives. You may also be interested in becoming part of the BR&E visitation team.
