Getting the Message Out

Newfoundland and Labrador has many amazing entrepreneurs that are making a difference within their communities and around the world. Getting the Message Out or GMO is an opportunity to learn about their successes and inspire you to become enterprising.

Fostering an enterprising and innovative Newfoundland and Labrador strengthens our economy. GMO highlights the stories of people in your own backyard whose ingenuity and determination turned their dreams of entrepreneurship into reality. The GMO program is shared with community organizations, educators, business people, and students throughout the province. Every presentation is customized to reflect regional differences and highlight the many sectors that are exploding with opportunity.

GMO also plays an active role in supporting youth innovation and entrepreneurship. We produce a supplementary resource guide, the GMO Classroom Kit, for the high-school economic education courses Enterprise 3205 and Career Development 2201. The guide features case studies of local businesses, showcasing the enterprising spirit in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Whether you are interested in owning a business or thinking about entrepreneurship as a career option, Getting the Message Out will help you explore the opportunities here in Newfoundland and Labrador.
