The Department of Innovation, Business and Rural Development represents the province’s interests in international and inter-provincial trade agreements. We help residents and companies in overcoming trade barriers in other jurisdictions. The Department sponsors trade missions and partners with the Government of Canada and others to promote trade opportunities for local businesses.
Recent trade mission have focused on strengthening and enhancing trade partnerships through face-to-face meetings with businesses, academic institutions, potential buyers and other strategic partners.
