The ExportAdvantage Internship Program (EAIP) is a cost-shared program that is designed to enhance company exporting capabilities while introducing recent graduates to exciting employment opportunities in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Through the program, qualified recent graduates will be placed with five local exporting or export-ready companies for a period of 12 months. During this time, the intern will assist the company with its export activities, which may include:
Costs will be shared between the program and the host company. The program will cover a portion of the intern’s salary and MERC (Mandatory Employer-Related Costs) to a maximum of $30,000; the host company will cover the remainder of the intern’s salary. The salary amount will be negotiated between the host company and the intern.
This program is an initiative of the Youth Retention and Attraction Strategy and is delivered by the Department of Innovation, Business and Rural Development.
