Information for Interns

Eligibity Criteria

Eligible interns are those who are:

  • Between 18 – 35 years of age
  • Recent graduates of a recognized post-secondary institution
  • Unemployed or underemployed
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Trained or experienced in international trade, exporting, and/or related fields, such as international Accounting or Finance

We are not currently accepting applications for this program. For information on the next offering of the program, please email internship@gov.nl.ca.

Application Process

Step 1 Review the job descriptions (see participating companies below) to determine which one/s you would like to apply for.
Step 2 Review the FAQ section for some valuable advice.
Step 3 Complete the Intern Application and Declaration Form (doc) and forward it, along with your cover letter and resume, to the contact below. Do not contact the companies directly!
Step 4 Eligible applications are forwarded to the companies for review.
Step 5 Applicants are notified of their status and arrangements made for an interview, if applicable.


NOTE

  • Companies reserve the right to recruit interns directly. Therefore, only those participating companies that are hyperlinked below have positions available.
  • Interns will work with participating companies, NOT the government.
  • Cover letters should be specifically tailored to each company, NOT the program
  • All documentation as outlined in the application process above are required.
  • Generic and/or incomplete applications will not be considered.
  • Applications will continue to be accepted until all positions are filled.
