Information for Companies

Eligible Companies

To be eligible for this program, companies must be:

  • Commercial Enterprises
  • Exporting or export-ready
  • Operating in Newfoundland and Labrador

We are not currently accepting applications for this program. For information on the next offering of the program, please email internship@gov.nl.ca.

Application Process

Step 1 Complete the Company Application Form (Word) and forward it, and all relevant supporting documentation, to the contact below.
Step 2 Company applications are reviewed by a selection committee.
Step 3 Companies are notified of their status. Upon acceptance of the Letter of Offer, the intern recruitment process begins for approved companies.


Selection Criteria

  • Potential for increased international trade activity
  • Depth / scope of the intern's duties and responsibilities
  • Intern's work environment (adequete resources, support, supervision)
  • Potential for long-term employment
