Trade Development Highlight...

The Southeastern United States – Canadian Provinces Alliance (SEUS-CP) is a strategic partnership between states in the southeastern United States and some Canadian provinces. From the United States, members include Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee, while in Canada, member provinces include Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island and Quebec.

The alliance works to promote trade and investment opportunities between and among its member states and provinces.

Delegations from each jurisdiction of the alliance convene annually for a business-to-business conference. Delegations, led by state governors, provincial premiers or their designees, comprise business and industry leaders from a wide array of industry sectors. Feedback about previous conferences has been quite positive:

“SEUS-CP was one of the best conferences that I have attended. I made some GREAT contacts there. I also found the exhibit booths VERY helpful.”  Louis Circeo, Georgia Tech Research Institute, GA

“I made a verbal agreement with another organization to do business in the future. The deal is potentially valued at $100,001 or more. I am following up with the leads I generated at the conference. I feel this is a business relationship that can be beneficial to many potential stakeholders both in Canada and the South East U.S. ” Brent Blalock, Rentenbach Constructors Incorporated, TN

“For someone who attended for the first time I was impressed with the number of matchmaking sessions that were arranged. The contact from (Market Access International) was excellent.” Mike Gushue, Annapolis Digby Economic Development Agency, NS
